WING FOIL
At Bananaway, you’ll find all the gear you need for wing foiling.
If you’re choosing your first wing, go for a size of 4 m² or 5 m², which will cover winds between 12 knots and 25 knots (depending on your weight) – this will be suitable for most conditions you’ll encounter as a beginner.
A beginner’s wing foil board should have between 100L and 160L, and as you gain experience, you can go for a smaller size. As a rule, wing foil boards are chosen with the formula: your weight + 10L, but highly experienced wing foilers may choose much smaller boards. Inflatable wing foil boards are more durable, while solid wing foil boards glide better on the water, take off more smoothly due to their shape, but need to be protected from impacts.
A hydrofoil for a beginner should have a front wing size between 1750 and 2000 and a mast height between 60 and 90 cm. As you gain experience, the size and shape of the front wings will change depending on whether you want more speed, better glide, increased maneuverability, or to ride waves.
In the Bananaway store, you’ll find premium brands – Axis Foils, Duotone Wing, Eleveight Wing, and on the other side, more affordable gear from brands like Gladiator and Sroka, offering excellent entry points into the world of wing foiling. Choosing the most suitable wing foil equipment is not easy, so we’re happy to offer advice.
